You waited, thus are rewarded

I suppose you are dying to see what kind of two wheels I found along the way today as I meandered around the streets of Santiago.

First Saw this advertisement for Deus scralled upon a wall...

Then this monster: a bicycle in fair disrepair with a disel gas tank attached..
The proud owner says he can get over 14km per 1L of gas. Just start pedalling and VROOM! you are off! Doesn't seem like good economy to me - but with all travel, there is a likelihood of something being lost in translation...
So you want a motorcycle?
Just go to your local department store... These babies were sitting next to sports shoes and sports jackets, and their pedal partners, bicycles...

Even MaccaD's gets in on the motorcycle scene...
Park your bike at a busy corner, get free advertising!

So as you can see, first day in Chile was successful two wheeled bliss. Traffic is polite, people friendy. Fashion is useful fashion. Everything here has a purpose. No extravagence (ok perhaps with the volume of food you are delivered - for $AUD15 I had a beer, pizza and empracitos that was enough to feed two people!).
