Tink I had a Tweedie good time!

Ever wondered what it would be like to be dapper and feel like an English Lady or Gentleman - even if just for one day? Sydney cyclists who went to the Tweed Run on Sunday were surprised by how good it feels to be dashing.

Organisers say over 130 people donned their tweed outfits, dusted off their bicycles and braved the clear crisp morning and arrived at Town Hall between 8 am and 9am, where they joined fellow dashing damsels and gentlemen for the 2nd Tweed Run of Sydney.

Winding our way through the city  over to Kent street and up towards Hickson road where we breathed in the stunning water views and took opportunities to be photographed, we then headed up to Taylor Square and through Surry Hills and Alexandra, where we joined the boys of Pista Resistance for bike Polo.

This is Matt, he won the most vintage bicycle of the Tweed Run. His bicycle is a Dursley Pedersen which was designed in the early 1900's. Mr Pedersen wanted a bicycle that was built for comfort and this was the result. The saddle is leather, strapped to the bike by straps which is probably the simplest and most light weight version of suspension on the market - even today!

Then, I met Tui - this wonderfully inspired Lady was riding - wait for it - a CONDOR Fratello! Wahooooo! Now this Condor was especially beautiful - being from the 60th anniversary special editions. I drooled over these last year (online) and finally my wildest dreams were answered. Ok, so I'm drooling. But my Condor Italia was my pride and joy for 6 years, and Condor cyclists are like Beemer motorcyclists. We just can't stop talking about how well they're made, and how well we're looked after when we get over to Greys Inn Road.

Thanks Susan of Rocket Fuel for organising; Yogi and the Red Lantern team; Sydney BMA for tea and coffee; and DoubleOh2 for design work!

Be sure to check out the next Lazy Sundays - where new products inspired from the Tweed riders will be posted!
